Aegis Charters Limited - Policy on Liquor Consumption Aboard KIWA II
Aegis Charters Limited (ACL) is committed to providing a safe, enjoyable, and memorable experience for all patrons aboard KIWA II, our luxury charter boat. We respect the right of our patrons to consume liquor responsibly and in moderation, as part of their charter experience. However, we also have a duty of care to ensure the safety and well-being of our patrons, crew, and vessel, and to comply with the relevant laws and regulations regarding liquor consumption at sea.
Therefore, we have established the following policy on liquor consumption aboard KIWA II:
- Patrons must be of legal drinking age (18 years or older) to consume liquor aboard KIWA II. ACL reserves the right to request proof of age from any patron and to refuse service to anyone who cannot provide valid identification.
- Patrons are not allowed to bring their own liquor aboard KIWA II. ACL may impose reasonable limits on the quantity and type of liquor that patrons can consume aboard, based on the duration and nature of the charter, the number of patrons. Patrons must declare any liquor they bring aboard to ACL prior to boarding and must store it in the designated areas on the vessel, any such alcohol is not to be consumed during a charter.
- Patrons are also welcome to purchase liquor from the onboard bar, which offers a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages at reasonable prices. The onboard bar operates on a cashless basis and accepts EFTPOS, debit & credit cards. Patrons are responsible for settling their bills before disembarking.
- Patrons must consume liquor in a responsible and respectful manner, and must not engage in any behaviour that may endanger themselves, other patrons, the crew, or the vessel, or that may cause nuisance, offence, or damage to property. Such behaviour includes, but is not limited to, excessive drinking, intoxication, aggression, violence, harassment, vandalism, littering, or disobeying the instructions of the crew.
- ACL reserves the right to monitor and regulate the liquor consumption of patrons aboard KIWA II, and to take appropriate action to prevent or address any issues that may arise. Such action may include, but is not limited to, refusing service, confiscating liquor, issuing warnings, terminating the charter, or contacting the authorities. ACL's decision on any matter relating to liquor consumption aboard KIWA II is final and binding, and patrons must comply with it without delay or dispute.
- Patrons are solely liable for any consequences arising from their liquor consumption aboard KIWA II, including any injuries, illnesses, damages, losses, fines, or legal actions. Patrons agree to indemnify and hold harmless ACL, its crew, and its affiliates from any claims, liabilities, costs, or expenses resulting from their liquor consumption aboard KIWA II.
By boarding KIWA II, patrons acknowledge that they have read, understood, and accepted this policy, and that they agree to abide by it at all times during their charter. Patrons also acknowledge that this policy is subject to change at any time, at the sole discretion of ACL, and that any such changes will be prominently displayed on the policy page of our websites.
